SetGrip writes every routine, workout and record to a local database on the device. The same database is mirrored into your private iCloud database (Apple's CloudKit), which is tied to your Apple ID and encrypted by Apple. The developer has no access to it and there is no SetGrip account or server in between.

There is no in-app switch for iCloud sync: it follows the iCloud settings of your iPhone. If iCloud Drive is off for your Apple ID, SetGrip simply keeps everything on the device.

  • New iPhone? Sign in with the same Apple ID and install SetGrip, and your data arrives through iCloud.
  • Want a file copy? Export CSV or JSON at any time.
  • Want it gone? Settings → Data → Delete All Data removes everything from the iPhone, your iCloud and your other SetGrip devices.

What does leave the device: anonymous usage events (for example "workout finished", never the workout itself, never names or numbers), purchase status for Premium, and the content of feature requests you choose to post. Apple Health only receives what you allow in the Health permission prompt.
